Issue management can be defined as the process by which an Organizations tries to anticipate emerging issues and respond them before they go out of hand.

The following are the importance of Issues management in corporate communication

It help an Organization to settle the issues early or divert it or perhaps even prevent its emergence. If an issue managed well it will prevent the organization from a crisis,thus in corporate communication issue management help to deal with an issue before getting out of hands.

It helps in creation and implementation of strategic business plan that results in operations that are supported rather than opposed by its publics.

It help an Organization to interact with its publics ;through issue management a Corporate personnel in internally view will provide a chance to deal with the public's since the organization as no an issue that can limit them.

It helps an organization to understand the publics or their audiences perspectives on issues if they are going to be solved. The organization cannot operate from only its one perspective but must also take its critics perspectives into account in terms of what it does and says what and how it communicates.

It helps in creation and implementation of strategic business plan that results in operations that are supported rather than opposed by its publics.

It helps an organization to reduce legitimacy gap to do so it can increase each organization ability to meet or exceed the expectations of its publics and can communicate well with them either in action or communication or both of them can help to solve controversial

Issue management also helps the managers in corporate communication as they work to create,maintain,and repair relationships with the public's and audiences.
 
However,Issue management help to communicate and foster understanding and minimize conflicts between organizations in Corporate communication. If issues will be well managed the organization and the publics will be in a better position of understanding each other because of non existence of conflict between them

To sum up; When practising Corporate communication a corporate personnel should be able to manage and handle different issues that will arise in their organizations so as to build good image and avoiding conflicts with their publics.
