EXTERNAL TYPES OF CORPORATE
COMMUNICATION IN AN ORGANIZATION

The
term Corporate Communication refers to the all communication activities done by
the company or an Organization with the aim of maintaining and managing
communication to attain specific plans of that organization or in another way
Corporate Communication is the management function or department just like
marketing, finance dedicated to the dissemination of information
constituencies, the execution of corporate strategy and development of messages
for a variety of purpose both inside and outside the organization.
In
the Organization we have two types of Corporate Communication that can be used
to create, maintain and manage the specific plan of the company. Those types
include Internal Corporate Communication and External Corporate Communication.
Today will just look on one type of Corporate Communication and that is
External Corporate Communication done within an Organization.
External
Corporate Communication is the type of communication that involves messages
meant for Consumers of goods/services that a Company produces. External
Corporate Communication involves different ways of communication such as;
- · Websites.
- · Blogs.
- · Mass media Advertisement.
- · Social Media.
Websites
These
are the services that are available over the internet that allows accessing/sharing
of different information. In the application of Corporate Communication done by
the company or an Organization can decide to use Organization website to post
different things or issues relating to the organization activities such as
sales, products offered, promotion activities, mission and vision of the
company and their mainly focus activities done by the Organization. This will
create trust among the consumers of the products and enhance more purchasing of
the product/services from the Company.

Blogs
Is
the regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual
or small group, which is written in an informal or conversational style. Blogs become
the way that a company can communicate and manage their daily activities, Blogs
actually can be used to update customers and consumers of the Company in an
Informal way such as, posting some of contradicting information or issues that
might open the door from the consumers to discuss the matters concerning the
news posted, it can be issue about product/services offered. The place in the
blog were a reader can leave a comment can act as a way of communication
between the Organization and the customers.

Mass
Media Advertisement
These
are the daily advertising activities done by an Organization through both
printed media and broadcast media, which include Television and Magazines and
News papers. In Corporate Communication mass media can be of importance since
an Organization can advertise the different products they offer and gain trust
and more consumers and customers for their product. This type also increase and
maintain trust between the Organization and Press Agents such as different
Television station as well as Radio station, hence can creates mutual
understanding.

Social
Media
Is
the collective online communication channels dedicated to community-based
input, interaction, content sharing and collaboration. Is one of the External
Corporate Communication that a company can decide to use for the aim of
communicating with their customers. Some of those Social Media include
Facebook, Twitter, Istagram and other ones that a Company can decide to use to
communicate with its customers to reach and maintain their specific plans or
goals.
