According to (Dave Chaffey 2002) Intranet refers to the private network within a single company using internet standards to enable employees to share information using email and web publishing. The majority of internet services are available to any business or consumer that have access of internet, however many corporate communication activities applications that access sensitive company information is limited to favored individuals. If information is limited to those inside an organization this is intranet.
Importance of intranet to corporate communication in digital age
Improved information and communication sharing in that through using intranet in communicating and passing information to the employees within organization enables a corporate communication managers who working in this age of digitalism to easily manages and monitor all information within an organization among employees and also corporate communication managers can easily sharing information to the employees for example corporate communication of Airtel can share easily information about meeting via internet and also can inform employees about internal changes.
