WEB ACCESIBILITY IN DESIGNING
According to University of Bristol (2009, pg 1) web
accessibility is about providing unhindered access to the web for everything,
regardless of disability and browsing technology. As this definition suggest
that the web accessibility it mainly focuses on making the web easy accessible to
both people with disability and others with no disabilities as in equal
opportunity to use, understand, , navigate and interact with the web.
The following are the importance of web
accessibility in web designing
Accessibility it provides out same opportunity for
all web users to ensure good participation as well as daily integration in
equal ways while interacting with the website.
The web accessibility has made many aspects of our
lives to become easier in term of Education for example, online materials like
books, journals, online degree also in employment aspect for example web
designers and application of jobs and university in different web pages,
government aspect, commerce, health care and other aspect.
Web accessibility it is also replaces the
traditional sources of information and interaction for example academic
materials and other print materials.
Web accessibility it is also offer the reliable
opportunities in improving the lives of disabled people in their daily
activities. For example online shopping also it reduces and overcome the
barriers of wastage of time in surveying of things in shops.
Web accessibility is done in three stages as
follows.

Before web designing,

During web designing and
·
After web designing
Before and during web designing the web designer
should consider things like:-
Ø The
background should be pale and simple.
Ø Use
relative font size rather than absolute one.
Ø Set
high contrast between background colour and the color which you will use in
your text.
Then after designing test your page with the range
of yours including someone who is red-green color blind.
